What is a disciple, and why does it matter?

In the Gospel of John, verses 66-71 Simon Peter hits the nail on the head so very clearly. “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. “We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.” I would offer that a disciple is one whose life has been touched in his heart and soul by the Christ and who cannot but see His Hand in all of life. I cannot give Jesus any other place other than as Lord and Savior.
