Scenes from the life of a parish
I just uploaded some photos from recent weeks at Christ Church. I hope to write more about our life and ministry soon, but I thought you might like to see this blog’s author, the people he serves, and life in one Rhode Island parish. Go check out our flickr site for many more photos. If you want to keep up with our life, become a fan of Christ Church on Facebook or go to our website and sign up for our weekly email newsletter. Anyway, here are photos from a few recent happenings.
Our 175th Annual Meeting. That’s me standing up in a cassock prattling on about something or other.
We are sharing a 175th anniversary year with the other Christ Church in Rhode Island, down in Westerly. Their choir (over 40 of them!) came to offer a full choral mass one Sunday and their rector was our guest preacher. We’ll go down there in Eastertide.
We celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with Holy Eucharist, the Solemn Proclamation of Epiphany, and the Blessing of Chalk on January 6. That service also includes our annual pageant. The three magi were terrific!
