Inclusive Church sends a message to General Convention
I received this message from my good friends on the other side of the Atlantic. They’ve asked me to pass it along. In addition to posting it on the HoB/D email list, I share it with you here.
To our beloved sisters and brothers of The Episcopal Church,
We send our warmest greetings on the occasion of your General Convention.
Inclusive Church shares with you a commitment to the Church’s mission, in obedience to Holy Scripture, of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every generation and we rejoice that you have so seriously addressed the challenge of proclaiming the Gospel in our generation.
With you we know that the Gospel is is Good News for people regardless of their gender, ethnic origin or sexual orientation and that, in order to strengthen the Gospel’s proclamation of justice to the world, and for the greater glory of God, our Communion’s own common life must be justly ordered.
We rejoice that we are Anglicans with you and give thanks for all that you have done, and continue to do, to support others in the wider Anglican Communion.
