Vote! Or democracy meets consumerism

If you’re a US citizen, I hope you’ll vote tomorrow. In case your duty as a citizen isn’t enough motivation, there are three great rewards for voting tomorrow.

  1. A free coffee at Starbucks.
  2. A free ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s.
  3. A free doughnut at Krispy Kreme.

So there it is. You may not get healthy by partaking in these bits of yumminess, but you’ll surely enjoy the spoils of your good citizenship.

Seriously, make sure you vote tomorrow. It matters. If you know people who live in swing states, call them and make sure they vote too.

  1. it isn’t obviously true that a Christian should do something simply because it’s their “duty as a citizen”, and there are credible moral arguments that Christians have no business voting.

Credible moral arguments aside, I would vote for a Krispy Kreme. I bet Ignatius would as well. I also heard someone was offering free tattoo removal for voting. Scott, this is your chance to undo what you’ve always regretted.
