Leaders should help others blossom

This is an interesting take on leadership. I don’t like to think of myself as dung (for this reason, I was never a big fan of Luther’s theological fascination with such things). Nevertheless, this cartoon is about right, it seems to me. Church leaders are meant to inspire others to blossom, not to be the flowers that others admire. I might have been content to call myself soil, but there it is.

My favorite joke is that clergy are like manure in that when you get a bunch together, it really smells, but when you spread them out, they start doing some good. You betcha!

This is a great anology of how us as leaders should develop our own gardens and with the knowledge and love we share can produce most wonderful things.
