We in New Zealand are by now used to the idea of women bishops. My own Bishop happens to have been a Bishop in the Anglican Church of Canada, before being appointed to my Diocese of Christchurch. Far from causing consternation, her election has brought renewed confidence into the Diocese, and augurs well for the future of our Church. Perhaps the Church of England has to actually elect women as Bishops before their true value becomes known. "By their fruits you will know them!"
